Entry Requirements

  • UCAS Tariff points/Grades required: 
    • 260 - 280
    • 260-280 at A2 (Grades BCC-BBC) or acceptable alternatives e.g. BTEC Subsidiary Diploma, Diploma, Extended Diploma at Level 3 (Grades DMM)
  • Specific GCSE requirements: GCSE grade C in English Language and Mathematics. Level 2 Functional Skills English and Mathematics also accepted.
  • Non Tariffed Qualifications: A relevant Access to HE Diploma with 15 level 3 credits at merit will be considered for entry to this course.
  • International Baccalaureate points: 26 IB Diploma points
  • IELTS score required for international students: 6.0 wih a minimum of 5.5 in each element

The Business units are:

  • Global Context of Modern Business
  • Information Analysis and Finance for Business

The Human Resource Management units are:

  • Human Resource Management in the Business Context
  • Understanding and Managing People

Year 2

The Business units are:

  • Marketing and Business Operations (core)
  • Responsible Business
  • Management and Organisation (PDP)
  • Work Based Learning
  • Ideas, Creativity and Entrepreneurship

The Human Resource Management units are:

  • Employment Law and Labour Markets (core)
  • Critical Organisational Analysis and Sustainability
  • Learning, Coaching and Development (PDP)
  • Work Based Learning
  • Marketing and Business Operations

Year 3

  • In your final year you choose one of the following:
  • The core unit for Business is Global Strategy and the core unit for Human Resource Management is Strategic Human Resource Management.
  • You then choose from the range of available option units. The option units vary each year but an indicative list is:
    • Business Project
    • Project Management
    • Digital and Social Media Marketing Communications Management
    • Entrepreneurial Practice
    • Psychology at Work
    • Business Ethics and Sustainability
    • Management in Practice
    • Global and Networked Innovation Management
  • You can complete a final year project or dissertation. If you take equal study you can choose to do this unit in either subject. If you are taking a major or named route, this unit will come from the major or named subject.
