Về Cao đẳng Johnson

Johnson là trường cao đẳng tư nhân với chương trình học 2 năm, cung cấp 14 chương trình cấp bằng nghiên cứu, tập trung vào việc cung cấp cho sinh viên những kỹ năng kỹ thuật và giáo dục phổ thông cần thiết để thành công trong cộng đồng công nghiệp.

Kể từ khi thành lập vào năm 1912 với tư cách là một trường thương mại, nay Johnson đã phát triển thành một trường cao đẳng uy tín. Chương trình đào tạo của trường luôn bắt kịp xu thế mới của công nghệ. Tỷ lệ trung bình giữa sinh viên là giảng viên là 17/1.

Trường nằm trên khuôn viên 44 hecta với phòng học, phòng thí nghiệm, cơ quan hành chính, văn phòng trường nhà ở sinh viên, thư viện, quán cà phê, trung tâm sinh viên, phòng tập thể dục...

Student Government Association (SGA)
SGA is Johnson College’s governing body for students and provides students with an opportunity to develop leadership skills while contributing constructively to Johnson College and the student body.

SGA is made up of a cabinet of campus elected student officers, as well as, student representatives from each organization, program area, as well as student interest groups such as Veterans, transfer students, and adult learners.

Social Force
Social Force is a community service organization for students. Members of Social Force participate in activities such as the Thanksgiving Food Drive, the Giving Tree Christmas project, and other community service activities as decided by the members. Social Force meetings are usually held bi-weekly during the lunch periods. Membership is open to all students and new members are always welcome.

Ambassador Program
The Student Ambassador Program consists of enthusiastic, knowledgeable, reliable students who are charged with assisting the Admissions Office in the recruitment of potential students and overall student retention for the school.

Johnson Power (J-POW)
This organization allows students to explore leadership and professional development opportunities to better prepare them for the workforce after graduation and provide them with the skills needed to attain a position, retain that position with an upward outlook, and succeed in their field of work.

Johnson Activity Group (JAG)
This organization is an opportunity for students to plan and implement social and fun events on campus. JAG offers students the prospect to boost creative thinking and leadership skills outside the classroom, by conducting regular meetings, planning, promoting, and implementing events, and maintaining an annual budget. Johnson Activity Group is open for all students to join.

Athletics
Johnson College offers three inter-collegiate sports to students: Women’s Volleyball, Men’s Basketball and Men’s/Women’s Bowling. The Johnson College Jaguars Women’s Volleyball and Men’s Basketball compete in the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference, Region 19 of the National Junior College Athletic Association at the Division III level. The Bowling team competes as an independent for league play and bowls at the PCAA State Championships. Additionally, Johnson College offers Cheerleading. 

Intramurals
Intramurals are offered twice each week during lunch and occasionally during evenings as announced. They are team sports with a league style format. Each league lasts 5 weeks and has a tournament at the end based on your overall record. You can sign up as an individual (free agent) or put together your own team for the competitions. Intramurals are great for meeting new people and for students that don’t have the time to be on one of our athletic teams.

Gamer Geekz
This organization is for students interested in video gaming. Beginners, intermediates, and experts are all welcome! These students meet weekly to play new and old favorites and they also hold gaming tournaments with the chance to win prizes!

Snow Jags
This group is for students who are interested in partaking in winter sports/adventures such as skiing, snowboarding & snow tubing! The group will be going to nearby mountains, (Montage, Elk) – being part of this group gets you AWESOME discounts!

Kappa Psi Nu (KΨN)
Kappa Psi Nu is the first sorority at Johnson College. It is made up of female students who are focused on volunteering in the community, participating in college events and organizations, and building a sisterhood bond that will last a lifetime.

Johnson College offers multiple housing options for students to choose.

On campus, we offer an apartment style housing community designed for 34 students. Each fully furnished apartment has a living room, eat-in kitchen, large bedroom, walk-in closet, bathroom, and is designed to house two students. The complex has a Community Room with games, television, laundry, and mail facilities.

Additionally, there is an outdoor recreation area with picnic tables, grills, and horseshoes. Additionally, Johnson College has additional housing options available off site of the main campus. For specific options, please refer to the Housing Guide in the Student Life Office.

Residents living in campus housing must submit a Housing Interest Form which is binding for the entire academic year. Students will receive their housing assignment once they return all of the completed paperwork (Housing Deposit/Verification Form/Payment, Housing Preference Form, Health Clearance Form, Financial Planning Checklist, and Missing Student Contact Form,) necessary to secure housing.

Residents must be enrolled full time during the fall and spring semesters. Students whose academic course load drops below full time status will not be guaranteed housing unless they receive permission from the Director of Student Life. The College reserves the right to terminate campus residency of students not engaged in full-time study. During the summer, students must be registered for at least 1 class to live on campus.
